In 2013 IAS provided the joint Hebrew University- Azusa Pacific University- and Cornell University-led expedition to the northernmost excavation site in Israel, situated near Nahal Ayun on the Lebanese border, with complete logistical support. This included the particularly challenging haulage of equipment atop the steep tel. Moreover, being that the excavation workforce did not sleep on-site, but at a neighboring kibbutz, IAS provided for security guards to watch over the equipment. In addition, breakfast was transported every morning from the kibbutz to the site. At the end of the season, IAS fenced each excavation area.
